These instruments are generally minimalist, but I have selected the ones that I think are both best in user experience and the functionality of this list. There are several of them out there.
Etcher – USB and SD Card Writer
This has been created using JS, HTML, node.js & GitHub Electron Framework, a comparatively fresh cross Platform and open source Image burning tool by Resin. The IMG and ISO images can be written to both SD and USB cards.
There are still several problems to deal with in beta. The application is still in beta. However, most of its characteristics are stable and have some interesting characteristics, including burning validation, a lovely GUI and friendly hard drive.
To download, Linux or other platforms you can switch to the Etcher website. You can execute the app from the Linux terminal by going to the folder you downloaded and executing the command below.
[sudo ./Etcher-linux-x64.AppImage]
Gnome Multi-Writer
This GNOME Project's USB instrument is very multi-task because you can eventually write a single Image (ISO or IMG) on several disks.
The small program works best with GNOME-based desktop environments including Unity, Cinnamon and Mate, for a few.
The supported USB sizes vary between 1 GB and 32 GB and you always discover the program you want to create in the normal Ubuntu repository.
Instructions for compiling gnome-multi-writers can be found here for other schemes.
Unetbootin – Create Bootable Live USB Image
Unetbootin is longer than GNOME Multiwriter and Etcher; a well-known bootable Living USB creator on Linux that supports a large range of ISO images including Windows on a cross-platform platform.
The app is an open source and also enables Images to be directly downloaded from its source to be written on your USB drive.
The normal Ubuntu repo contains unetbootin; thus no additional PPA is needed. However, you must discover directions for compilation for other schemes on their website.
Conclusions
I didn't have the opportunity in the past to attempt a lot of USB instruments. I would, however, like to know what you think in the remarks below about those I have chosen for this or other lists.
